EEO Training and Resources

Required Training

All employees must complete:

MVP – Understanding EEO and Related Processes Training

  • Available on the Commonwealth of Virginia Learning Center (COVLC)
  • Covers EEO principles, complaint procedures, and employee rights
  • Completion is mandatory for all employees

Agency EEO Officers are strongly encouraged to complete specialized training as an EEO Investigator:

  • Provided by the EEOC Training Institute
  • Focuses on investigative skills, handling complaints, and procedural compliance

Tip: Supervisors should track completion and ensure training is done within the required timeframe each year.

EEO Posters

  • Agencies are expected to share and display EEO Posters throughout their workplaces where they can be easily accessed and viewed by employees and applicants.
  • Posters include federal and state-required information on discrimination, retaliation, and complaint filing procedures.
  • EEO posters are available for printing through Virginia Correctional Enterprises
