CMP Leadership Track Participant Expectations

Engaged Participation

  • Attend and actively participate in mentorship meetings, cohort sessions, and learning activities.
  • Contribute openly to discussions and collaborative learning.
  • Employees do not need to utilize their leave to participate as this is a work-related DHRM managed program

Completion of Leadership Modules

Complete all Leadership Track coursework, including:

  • Goal Setting & Achieving
  • Personality Types in Leadership
  • Inclusivity & DEIB in Mentorship
  • Delegation
  • Team Building
  • Apply key concepts to real-world leadership responsibilities

Commitment to Growth

  • Set meaningful leadership development goals
  • Practice self-reflection, seek feedback & apply new leadership strategies

Cohort Collaboration

  • Engage fully with your small cohort of peers
  • Support a respectful, inclusive and psychologically safe learning environment.

Professional Communication

  • Maintain regular communication with your partner and Program Advisors
  • Notify the Leadership Track Coordinator promptly of any participation challenges

Leadership Application

  • Apply program learnings in your daily role as a people leader
  • Demonstrate inclusive, ethical, and effective leadership within your team

Eligibility

  • Participants must have direct reports to apply
  • Participants must meet the regular CMP requirements to participate
  • Supervisors must approve of your participation in the Commonwealth Mentorship Program
  • Supervisors must understand that the CMP is a work-related DHRM managed program, and employees should not have to utilize their leave to participate in this 12-month program
