Recruitment Management System Updates


RMS UPDATE AS OF January 22, 2007

State Field

All system records have been updated to include the state field change format to an abbreviation and full name (e.g., Virginia-VA)

New Applicant Status

An “unable to establish contact” status has been added to the applicant statuses.  This status also includes a drop-down notes box to add comments.

Non-Selection E-Notification Letter

Selecting the “Not Hired-Send E-mail to Applicant” will generate a non-selection (rejection) e-notification letter to applicants.  When selected, this feature will automatically send letters to applicants, but will not automatically change the status of the posting.  The posting status will have to be manually changed in the system.

The system automatically includes the agency name and number, position title, and position number.  The e-mail is generated from the RMS Inquiry mailbox.

Position Number Field  

To ensure consistency with position numbers, the position number data field has been changed to a 5-character minimum and maximum field.  This means the position number field will require 5 characters.  The characters can be alpha and/or numeric.

Job Posting Number/Requisition Number

For consistency, when creating a requisition from a previous posting the “Job Posting Number” field name has changed to Requisition ID (Req ID) to match the “Req ID” field name on subsequent screens.
