The Virginia Council for Human Resources was created in 2001 by the Virginia General Assembly, combining the duties of three previous committees. The Council's duties are enumerated by statute.
The Members of the Council are appointed by the Governor and General Assembly to staggered four-year terms. The Council's current membership is:
