Enhancements to the Commonwealth Application

On July 1, 2019, the Commonwealth of Virginia will introduce a modern and streamlined state job application. How does this impact you?

  • You will be able to submit a resume and minimal personal information in lieu of a full State Application, if preferred.
  • You will only need to list relevant work experience, not a full employment history.
  • You can apply to job postings from your mobile device.
  • Your login credential will remain the same, if you already have a profile set up.
  • You will be able to update your profile to match your experience and skill sets.

Note: The previous versions of your application will remain the same in the system through August 31, 2019 to allow time to transition to the new process.
